Weekly limit

Understand how your spend is controlled, distributed, and impacts performance on Duzlo.

Duzlo Publish Channel modal with weekly limit options and custom spend field

Overview

The weekly limit is the maximum amount a creator is willing to spend per week across all content within a channel. Weekly limits do not include spend from Boosts.

How it works

Your weekly limit is not spent all at once. Instead, it is continuously unlocked throughout the week at a pace that ensures it will last no less than 7 days.

As submissions generate views, Duzlo’s adaptive rewards system evaluates their performance and distributes payments over time. Rather than drawing from a fixed pool, the system allocates spend dynamically based on how each submission is performing relative to others at that moment.

This means:

  • Payments are earned progressively as performance is measured
  • Higher-performing submissions receive more consistent and frequent payments
  • Lower-performing submissions can still earn, but at a reduced rate

The system continuously adjusts how spend is allocated as new submissions enter, performance changes, and demand evolves.

This approach ensures that spend is always directed toward the most effective distribution while still allowing all approved submissions the opportunity to earn.

Weekly limit vs actual spend

The weekly limit is a maximum, not a guaranteed spend.

Duzlo is a performance-based system, which means:

  • You may spend less than your weekly limit if performance is low
  • Budget is only allocated where results are being generated

This ensures you are only paying for meaningful distribution.

Weekly limit and Boosts

The weekly limit does not include any additional spend allocated through Boosts.

For example:

  • Weekly limit: $1,500
  • Boost: $500

Total possible spend that week: $2,000

Boosts act as an additional layer of spend that prioritizes specific content, separate from your base weekly limit.

Credit requirements

To increase your weekly limit, you must maintain a sufficient credit balance.

When publishing a channel for the first time, you are required to purchase 2× your weekly limit in credits.

For example:

  • Weekly limit: $1,500
  • Required credits: $3,000

This ensures there is always enough balance available to reward clippers while top-ups are processing. Read credits and top-ups to learn more.

Updating your weekly limit

You can update your weekly limit at any time.

If you increase your limit, you may be required to purchase additional credits to meet the 2× requirement.

For example:

  • Current weekly limit: $1,000
  • New weekly limit: $2,000
  • Required credits: $4,000

If your current balance is $1,900, you would need to purchase $2,100 credits for the limit increase to take effect.

Impact on Opportunity Score

Your weekly limit has a direct impact on the Opportunity Score of your content.

Higher budgets generally lead to:

  • Higher earning potential for clippers
  • More attractive opportunities
  • Increased participation, submissions, and results

Lower budgets relative to demand can lead to:

  • Increased competition between submissions
  • Lower RPM
  • Reduced Opportunity Scores
  • Less desirable to high quality clippers

This makes your weekly limit one of the most important levers for maintaining strong performance on your channel.

Strategy

Setting the right weekly limit depends on your content volume and desired level of distribution.

If your budget is too low relative to the number of submissions and views:

  • Rewards become diluted
  • Opportunity Scores drop
  • Clippers may shift attention elsewhere

If your budget is well-aligned with demand:

  • Submissions remain competitive
  • Opportunity stays high
  • Distribution scales effectively

Creators often pair their weekly limit with Boosts to:

  • Prioritize new content
  • Maintain strong opportunity on key pieces of content
  • Balance distribution across multiple uploads

Key takeaways

  • The weekly limit is the maximum you are willing to spend per week
  • It is distributed dynamically based on performance
  • It is not a guaranteed spend
  • Spend from Boosts is additional to your weekly limit
  • Your weekly limit directly impacts Opportunity Score and participation

Understanding your weekly limit is essential to controlling spend and maximizing performance on Duzlo.
