Channel status

Understand the different states your channel can be in and how they affect content and submissions.

Overview

Channels on Duzlo can exist in different states depending on their lifecycle and account standing.

Each status determines whether your content is publicly accessible, whether clippers can submit posts, and how your channel behaves overall.

Draft

When a channel is first created, it is in Draft status.

In this state:

  • Your channel is not publicly accessible
  • Clippers cannot view or submit to your content
  • Imported content can be deleted
  • The channel itself can be deleted entirely

Draft mode allows you to fully configure your channel before making it live.

Active

Once you publish your channel, it becomes Active.

In this state:

  • Your channel is publicly accessible
  • Clippers can discover and submit posts to your content
  • Content can no longer be deleted, only paused
  • The channel cannot be deleted, only paused

You can publish your channel even if no content has been imported yet.

Paused

A channel can enter a Paused state in two ways:

  • You manually pause the channel
  • A payment failure occurs, making your account temporarily ineligible for new submissions

In this state:

  • New submissions are not allowed
  • Existing submissions within their earning period continue earning
  • Content appears as closed to clippers
  • Performance metrics continue updating as normal

Content sources will continue to import new content, but it will remain closed and won’t appear on the Discover page until the channel is resumed.

Resuming a channel

You can resume a paused channel at any time.

However:

  • If your channel was paused due to insufficient credits, you may need to top up before resuming
  • If the pause was caused by a failed payment, your channel will not become active until the top-up has fully processed

Resuming a channel follows the same process as publishing and restores your content to an active state where submissions are allowed again.

Content behavior while paused

When a channel is paused:

  • Existing content that is still within its submission deadline will reopen once the channel is resumed
  • Content whose submission deadline expires while paused will remain closed, even after resuming the channel
  • Newly imported content will remain closed until the channel is active

You can reopen closed content by extending its submission deadline to a future date.

Pausing content vs pausing a channel

It is important to distinguish between pausing individual content and pausing your entire channel.

  • Pausing content affects only that specific piece of content
  • Pausing the channel affects all content, including future imports
  • Both pausing options have no impact on Boosts placed on the content

Only pause your channel if you intend to stop all submissions across your entire channel for an indefinite period of time.

Terminating a channel

If you wish to permanently shut down your channel, a wind-down process is required.

This process ensures:

  • All active submissions complete their earning periods
  • Credits remaining after the wind-down can be safely returned

Key takeaways

  • Draft channels are private and fully editable
  • Active channels are public and accept submissions
  • Paused channels prevent new submissions but allow existing ones to earn
  • Content and channel behavior depends on submission deadlines and credit status
  • Channel termination requires a structured wind-down process

Understanding channel status helps you control when and how clippers interact with your content.
