Submission deadline
A way to keep clippers focused on your latest content.

Overview
The submission deadline is the cutoff for when new posts can be submitted for a piece of content. After this point, no new submissions are accepted, but any existing approved submissions remain active and can continue earning.
The deadline only affects the ability to submit new posts and does not impact earnings for posts that have already been approved. Each submission will still complete its full earning period.
Submission deadlines are designed to help creators shift clipper attention toward newer content while still allowing older submissions to finish earning.
Ways to Configure
There are multiple ways to set and manage submission deadlines:
- When adding a content source, you can define a default submission deadline for all future content imported from that source.
- When importing an individual piece of content, you can set a custom submission deadline.
- After content has been imported, you can update the submission deadline at any time from the content’s settings, even while it is active.
When editing the submission deadline of existing content, it must be set to no less than 7 days or more than 3 months from the date of import.
Strategy
Choosing the right submission deadline primarily depends on how frequently you publish content and how you want clippers to distribute their attention.
For example, if you release new content weekly, you may choose a 14-day submission deadline so that there are always multiple active pieces of content available. This gives new clippers more options while maintaining consistent distribution across recent uploads.
It is also important to consider how overlapping content affects competition between submissions. The more active content you have, the more submissions will compete for the same pool of rewards. If total view volume is high relative to your weekly budget, this can reduce RPM and lower overall earning potential for clippers.
This dynamic can be beneficial if your budget is large enough to support it, as it drives more total reach and generates the best results. However, if your weekly spend is limited, too much overlapping content can lead to lower Opportunity Scores and reduced incentive for clippers.
To manage this, many creators strategically utilize Boosts to prioritize newer content, while still accepting submissions on older content at lower rates. This helps guide clippers toward the content you want to promote most while still allowing older submissions to earn at a lower priority.
